Thanks. Visual Developer is one I've never seen mentioned before and it sounds like a good place to bookmark. I too agree that tracing code is one of the best ways to learn. Just find a sample that does what you want, or close to it, trace away and you should be on your way.

In addition, a 1 yr subscription is 19.95. Unfortunately, for VFP'ers, I've never seen any articles on VFP. There philosophy squares with the almost universal availablity of the source code for 3rd party and Delphi components. This is a good resource for C++, Delphi, VB, Java and some general observations on computing and references to interesting Web sites. It sure was nice when I didn't understand how something worked, I was able to trace the source code of a 3rd party report generator or the Database access objects the came with Delphi.
