>I have FP 2.5 DOS and VFP6 apps running over Citrix and I am happy with the performance. The trick as Ed Rauh and others have pointed out is in the .Refresh. Avoid refreshing a lot of controls at the same time, especially ThisForm.Refresh. When you have to, use ThisForm.LockScreen.

>I have even run a VFP/MS Graph test app over Citrix connecting with a 28.8 and was happy with the performance. HTH

>>I've heard that because the controls are not Windows controls that screen updates are slow, but this is not my experience. My VFP app seems to paint screens as fast as Microsoft Access.

>>Has anyone run any actual benchmarks on this issue? If VFP is as fast as other tools or perhaps only very slightly slower I'm sure many other developers would happy to hear this.

>>Personally, I'm very satisfied with VFP performance under Citrix.
PMFJI, but what about Citrix and "coolbar" effects on controls. For instance, The ActiveBar control from datadynamics, or MS Toolbar where there is a lot of mouse over activity. Will this degrade performance, or slow client side due to more screen paints? I'm looking very hard at the Citrix approach for one of my corporate file server based apps that needs to be accessed over WAN (384KB partial T1).
Thanks for any info!
John.
