>I have a project that was written in foxpro 2.6 for windows. I know about the problem with running 2.6 on machines > 333 Mhz. In fact I used the fast cpu fix to update my exe and esl. I am using a 400 Mhz machine and I am still having problems. About 50% of the time my machine hangs. So anyway I have this project that I need to deliver to my client. This client has all 400+ Mhz machines. My questions is this: Does the .ESL (with the fast cpu patch applied) tend to hang up as much as the EXE or is it more stable. I don't have enough time to convert to VFP 5. I could run the 2.6 stuff in VFP OK but I can't modify anything in VFP unless I convert first, And thats a nightmare I just don't want to deal with.

Don't know if this will help Mike, but I also found a video problem on fast machines with one of my clients. Ie machine would hang as soon as FPW2.6 starts despite the various patches.
The answer was to go to Windows screen properties (right click on screen) and choose Setup- Advanced - Performance and then decrease the hardware acceleration.
It's a real hassle isn't it. And the clients are suspicious about this sort of Fix. C'mon M$, there are lots of 2.6 apps out there - and conversion to VFP is NOT always a realistic option.
