>We only use front page as an html editor, we don't use it for site management or anything else... The problem is that when adding a picture or any other file to an htm file, Front Page uses a relative path in the URL, when I would like for it to use an absolute path from my Inetpub\root directory. (This is so we can move pages around and not break them) Do you know of a way to do this? (is this what you were complaining about, or am I completely off subject?)
Just type your URL in like this:
/images/someimage.gif
Works just like DOS where / is the root path.
You'll have to either type it manually or pick the file you want then reassign what FP sticks in the URL box. Make sure you *don't* put http:// in front of this or the url won't work.
If you think FP 3 is bad, wait 'til the next version comes out. It works better for plain editing, but if you want to do your own thing - good luck. It'll be next to impossible to write script code with FrontPage... not a good thing.
