>It seems that whenever I either access a table across the net, or append the data in a remote table to a local one, that some how records get trashed. Yesterday I opened a table on a remote drive, browsed it, so everything was ok, PACKed it, and then browsed it again. About 25 of 175 records were offset by two characters.

I'm seeing the same problem (2 byte offseton some records), but W98 connected to a Novell 3.12 server. So far, no solution.
