>>It's possible. HP drivers and VFP have never gotten along very well. Then again, it's not just VFP. Their plotter drivers (and printers, too!) used to have all kinds of problems with AutoCAD. We've been out of that business for quite awhile now, but that was through release 13 there were major problems. We usually had to use other plotter/printer drivers (give up features) or wait for AutoDesk to come out with their own driver for the device. HP could never get it right, even though they'd come out with a new version about every 3 weeks or so. Great hardware, lousy software.

Previewing a report still uses the printer driver. Maybe the driver is trying to actually comunicate with the printer, and if it's currently in use, there might be some kind of problem. This is purely a guess on my part, but with all the new features that require feedback from the hardware, it certainly sounds like a possiblility.

I personally never saw the menu problem go away on it's own, but then maybe I just wasn't patient enough to wait it out!
