Thanks Nick,

After looking further into it I noticed that the files were roughly half the size so there would be no utility that could create something out of nothing. I did look into the file using Word97 but could not find the two big methods that I had written. The sad thing is, this is my first experience working with Win98, it came pre-installed on the laptop. I was debating whether to install WinNT on it because of previous driver problems I ran into upgrading HP desktop machines to WinNT. After this little episode I plan on upgrading the laptop this weekend - crossing my fingers.

I tried to USE the form but I get a message back from VFP stating that it is not a table. Does anyone know of anyway to get this form back from the dead? Any help or suggestions would be of great help.

Once when my form was trashed in similar circumstances (none of the tools had helped) and I just before that I had written a couple of big pieces of code in the form methods - I opened the .SCT file with Notepad and manually copied the code from there, then re-created the form.
