>We've had some discussion here recently, regarding allowed pairs of table's codepage and a tag's collating sequence. Now I'd need to control these settings programmatically. When I open a table, I want to have a choice of allowable sequences, just the way it exists in the Tools/Options/data: there's a combo which lists them. Though, it's based on the Codepage entry in Config.fpw, not an CpDbf() for any particular table (which may then lead to error: you get a table with a different codepage, have a different Set("collate") on your machine, and bang it goes when you try to index that table with an inapplicable sequence).

Dragan,

Alas, I don't have the answer. I went to www.stevenblack.com and checked the VFP issues (the last choice under INTL). There's nothing documented. Anyway, in your case I'd contact Steve. He has certainly an idea about the subject. Other than that, your suggestion is an excellent one and if I were MS, something that I would built into the next product...
