Try using the System Monitor and watch Page Faults. I noticed some stuff using Word97 automation taking about 50 seconds on my Win95 machine, we installed it on the client's NTWS machine and it ran in under 10 seconds, on a slower machine no less. Watching PageFaults on my Win95 box was up in the 1k range, I didn't try doing sysmon on the NT box.
