>I don't consider anyone an 'This Language' programmer until they have been doing it, for a living for two years!
Bob, I think this is oversimplifying. I have met Fox programmers with 10 years experience that couldn't program themselves out of a paper bag. On the other hand, I have corresponded with very junior programmers that could probably use VFP to fly the space shuttle.
I haven't been programming in Fox for 2 years yet, and I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable on the subject... I think that any employer requiring a minimum of time in the business is potentially cutting themselves severely short, and possible giving undue credit to 'time in the trenches'.
