Does this error occur when you're doing the autoincrement? It's possible that you aren't locking both the ID table record and the data-entry record and updating both before unlocking.

I have a button that is clicked as an autoincrement, it updates the table for the id and it also updates the main table that the person is entering data into. Then the user clicks on the save button. Sometimes the following error appears, "Record has been modified by another user. Would you like to rewrite the changes?" if the user clicks on 'yes' when this message is displayed, no data seems to be lossed. Am I in danger of losing data. If not, can I remove the message by setting safety off. If I am in danger of losing data, how can I fix this problem?
