Hi Joe,

I tried deleting part of the original msg, but it didn't work, maybe the usual way of deleting doesn't work here? Anyway, to clarify problem:

I design a report without any top or bottom bands - only a detail band streching form top to bottom of A4 page. I fill this with a lot of fields, using various fonts, points and so on to create a pretty printout. Now, if I append more fields vertically to the report, I am able to fit the fields in the available space in the report designer, but I find that at some point, the fields near the end of the page will print higher up on the form.

The amount of data ought to fit on the form, if I could use the whole page.

To analyse the problem, I removed all the fields from the upper part of the form, and then the lower fields dropped down to the wanted position, at the bottom of the page.

I have not tried splitting the page in two bands, maybe that will help, got that idea just now. Funny how ideas for solving a problem often creep up when you try to describe the problem... Don't know if it will work though.

There are no repetitive fields on the report, each line is defined with it's own unique fields from the same record.

Rolf
