I am about to upgrade VFP 5.0 to VFP 6.0 via Visual Studio. I am considering gettting the Enterprise edition since I will get a single user license for SQL Server 7.0.
I just read an article "A Fast, Easy SQL Upgrade" on page 79 of the February 8, 1999 issue of "Computerworld". The article states that SQL Server 7.0 will run on WIN 95 although it will not have all features due to the need for NT for those features.
I intended to buy another PC with NT on it; however, I have enough room on my WIN95 machine for VFP 6.0, VB 6.0, and SQL Server so I was thinking of using the WIN95 for that development work.
Has anyone run into any lack_of_features_wish_I_had_NT when doing something similar?
