Does it makes any difference to declare view parameters in the 'Query-View Parameters' menu?

I mean, I can just use the parameters in the Filter section (tableA.field1 = ?v_parameter1) and VFP will work fine.

If I declare the parameters in the 'View Parameters' dialog box does it make any difference to VFP?, Does it make any difference to the backend?
