From what I am able to deduce, this property has ne effect on the functionality of the view. I never set this property, and all of my views update just fine. There was a thread about this a couple of days ago, and I stated that I thought it was a ridiculous property because VFP doesn't fill it out for you from the parameters you enter in the filter tab.

I am aware, however of the possibility of their use for Remote views. Since the only remote views I have used in production as of yet were not updateable, I am unable to answer this.
