Ken, sorry to hear about Susan's mom. I bet Jackson looks small comparred to Atlanta (and you're welcome to it...)

BTW, Oracle has a developer program that let's you buy in at much less than 6k. Customer licenses are around $300/seat.

You can have Oracle forms ! It's extremely overrated - if you've used Fox it'll make you want to throw up. Oracle forms is there so that Oracle can have a checkoff item when they compete with Sybase, who owns powerbuilder. It's a terrible product with ilogical design.

>Howdy, stranger. Quite a surprise to see your name pop up. Hope things are goin' well for you and yours. We were back in Jackson a couple weeks ago...Susan's mom passed away. Bud, the place sure looks small after being in Atlanta for a while!

>>Just a barely related FYI (not a commercial): Oracle 8 supports a datatype which holds a file system pointer object (i.e. a graphics file, sound file, executable, etc.) and includes functions to manipulate it, so you could get the same result without having to manage the file names - but it does require Oracle 8....

>Sounds GREAT! You have a spare 6 grand layin' around so I could give it a try??? <g> I sure would like to get my hands on Oracle Forms...
