Thanks for your help, your last tip triggered a fix for our problem.

We are currently running 2.6 generated code compiled under VFP. Without any true forms, we ran into this printerprompt problem under VFP5. To give the printer prompt focus, we ended up creating a bogus form. Since the bogus form had to be visible for the printer window to take focus, we gave it a left property that would take it well off the screen. All references to the form are destroyed when exiting the printer prompt code. It works!
