Also,
I tried the simple utility where the PRINT PROMPT is called when clicking a button on a form (instead of in main code the other way). This way allows keyboard focus. My guess is there must be some object underneath the prompt form that can accept focus *first*...

>I did find one thing. I have only one project where I use PRINT PROMPT in a standalone EXE, and it is just a simple utility. In the startup, it sets _SCREEN.Visible = .F.. This evidently allows the prompt screen to get keyboard focus, because if I set it to .T., it cannot.

>>That's the bizarre thing. Tab, or any other keyboard input doesn't generate a response from the printer prompt. Even more bizarre -- if I run the exe from with in VFP -- the printer prompt recognizes keyboard input. It's when I run the exe from explorer that the printer prompt looses interest in the keyboard.
