Just a thought. The issue may be with hardware that's too fast, not with the fact that the new machines are running Win 98. There have been many threads here in the past few weeks about Fox/DOS not running on faster machines without a certain patch. Maybe Fox/Win 2.x is also affected in some cases.

Just brainstorming, here.
