I have a property on the container class that stores the field name that will be both the controlsource of the textbox the label's caption value. It updates and displays properly at run-time, but I want to see the label caption change at design time.

Matt- what I think you want to do requires that you put together a builder for your container class. This is not as hard as it sounds, it's actually pretty easy- but instead of attempting a 5 minute lesson on builders, I'll send you to www.classx.com to download Ken Levy's BuilderB. After reading it's documentation, oyu should have a pretty good idea of what to do next.
