>>>The C0000005 error in VFP 6.0 has caused us to rethink portions of our contract. If we tell our customers that they must install IE 4.0 or DCOM, or our product won't work, what are the legal implications of this stance? Are there licensing fees involved with DCOM /IE4?

I am fairly sure that DCOM98 is installable separate from IE (there are others on Ut that can confirm or deny this). If this is the case, then I can't see any problems. Win98 ships with it, and NT SP3 installs it. Luckily I haven't yet had to deal with this with my clients.
