Thanks. That worked great! We got in 40 Compaq laptops for our field guys and none of them have "Auto Insert Notification" checked.

>Go into Device Manager (any number of ways to do this; right-click on My Computer and select Properties from the drop-down menu, or Start/Settings/Control Panel/System) and open up the CD-ROM drive's Property Sheet. Make certain that under the Settings tab that Auto Insert Notification is enabled.
