Have you considered using FTP or some other mechanism to transferr the files to the remote server system, and then have the remote system access the transmitted files after they've been transferred over the link?

Thanks Ed. Connection timeout sounds like a good avenue to persue.
I thought about emailing them, since their is an Exchange server available, but decided to stick with the ODBC for now. Have not considered FTP since I am mostly unfamiliar with it. Is their a consistent, tested, reliable way to transmit data over a phone line using FTP?
It was my intent to write this thing quickly, using VFP out of the box. Everything seemed fine, until I started doing the connections remotely, instead of on the LAN. Thanks Again.
