>You can always strip away the beginning and ending single or double quotes and use the memo field as is. So instead of EVAL(mFIELD1), you'd use SUBSTR(mFIELD1,2,len(trim(mFIELD1))-2).

There is a reason to evaluate the memo field.

Sometimes, I have something like this

'The text you entered is '+lcText+'. You may ...'
