And for a given version of VFP/VB, say Visual Studio 6, what version of VC++ are they written in, VC++5? And how do "features" in VC++ propagate down to VFP/VB? Not that any of this actually matters ... but I am curious. :-)

All written in the previous version. Can you imagine trying to create a new version of the langauage using the beta of the same language. Or even an alpha. Or even a pre-alpha????
