I agree with your point. This is an unusual screen given to some users for viewing only so everything is always disabled. They felt that the disabled check box caption was too dim to read. When I made the disabled forecolor black it just made the caption look grainy. Others have suggested returning .f. from the when method which works fine, but if you have another idea I'd love to hear it.
