In addition to what less said, these bitmap controls also have some advantages over the native Windows controls. The FoxTeam was not limited by the databound restrictions found in native controls and they were able to make some extra events for controls.

It wouldn't be the first time that inventions of the VFP team would be used in other MS products. Maybe MS will use the functionality now found in the VFP Controls in the native controls in some future versions of windows because they're generally easier to use.
