In order to implement the bitmapped controls, VFP uses a non-standard method of implmenting Windows message processing. This can adversely affect the way the controls behave. The Coolbar control is an example of this.

When tools already are in existence, as they are now, it would be nice to be able to use them.

As I mentioned earlier, this isn't necessarily the case. A control can be written to the guidelines and either not work or not work properly in VFP.
