I don't want to belabor this, but I've heard it said the MS is on record as stating that VFP *does* have problems with ActiveX components and it is not the fault of the component developers.

The former 'line' that VFp was "more stringent" than most MS products and so caused grief to component developers was considered hogwash (politely) by most.
