Hi Michel,
Another possibility could be that when a person selects the mailbox to view all replies to their messages, they are provided a Remove option. Perhaps you could incorporate a checkbox labeled remove and when the user is finished browsing their replies and goes elsewhere they will no longer show up. (ie select remove, click your mailbox to refresh it, it goes away.) Just a suggestion.
