If you have an empty date you need to replace it with NULL because Access doesn't understand blank dates. Still, if this were the problem I would expect TABLEUPDATE() to return .F.
Halleujah!!! Thanks to you the Append problem appears to be solved. I would have never known that empty dates would cause this condition. I removed the date replacements from the code to test and it appended just fine. If you're ever down in the Sarasota area, look me up and I'll buy you a dinner.
