I'm not sure I completely grasp exactly the steps you're taking in this scenario, but I did post a change to the forum a few weeks back that *may* address the problem:

1. In the CForms.vcx library, open the CBizObjForm class
2. In the SetPrimaryBizObj method, comment out the following statement in the ELSE condition:

This.SetFilePos()

3. Close the class and save changes.

If this does *not* address the problem could you post a few more details about your view, view parameters and the copying of records?
