One thing that comes to my mind (I expect to be voted out on this, but...) is to help them in such a way, as to point out to the sources of disinformation. Imagine a sub-page called "now let's hear the other side" with links to doom'n'gloom articles. Supposing that most of the visitors of the page should read the good stuff first, having a link to such articles should be fair, specially after psychically preparing the reader in advance. These articles should appear as crap to anyone who can read, once he's read the facts first.

Just an idea.
