I don't understand why you are setting the controlsource to a field in the table or cursor used as the rowsource. This seems to me to be the problem. Can you explain this for me.

>Colin, the problem with associating the controlsource with the un-updateable field, is that when we do that the interactive change event does not fire... as soon as you remove the controlsource, it works again. It appears that binding the field to the un-updateable cursor is the problem. Of course there might be something else causing it... I was confused at first, and then thought of either making the cursors updateable, or simply removing the controlsource.
