This is the problem, the only benefit is that the value will be preloaded with whatever is in the table / cursor if you set the controlsource to the field, otherwise the value of the dropdown list is "" (blank).

We could prepend the value with the proper value ahead of time. And this is what I suggested to the developer.

I just wanted to confirm that the controlsource being filled in was the problem with the interactivechange event firing...

And I think based on your answers, you tend to agree.
