First of, John makes some very good points. I haven't exactly decided to jump sides of the fence here but sometimes the resounding sound of reason is hard to ignore :)

>Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the purposes of the proposed VFPDA was to provide information to non-developers (managers, CIO, CFO, the real decision-makers) about the viability of VFP in their business, and fill in the rather large gaps that Microsoft Marketing is leaving in the promotion of VFP.

Bill this comment brought to mind something Rick Strahl had beaten up on a while back, and that is the lack of our community making an effort to publish articles in magazines that get attention from non-developers and serve to make a case for VFP in real world situations. Afterall, if a company is looking to invest heavily in a new product or platform, for example make the switch to VFP because it's the right fit, I would think they are going to go looking for info and published resources other than M$ marketing materials before that decision is final.
