I agree with John. The proposed organization isn't clearly defined enough for one to make any decision about it. From the threads I have read it would seem there is some desire to promote VFP. However, VFP belongs to MS and MS controls what can or cannot be done regarding promotion. The organization may raise plenty of funds and find MS says no to any promotion.

As for a professional organization, well Professional Organizations don't advertise products, trade groups do that. There are already some very execellent professional organizations for software developer's namely the ACM and the IEEE Computer Society and both are open for anyone to join.

As for a VFP devleopers organizationj, well there are user's groups around the world now, they can be joined and supported. The ones that disolved did so because the members left, not because of some evil plot.
