All these years I've been doing this, without knowing it had a name!

Very interesting reading at the site, they are writing my life story with delightful links like "UserStories."

I would submit however, that there is a danger of Extreme Programming being misinterpreted in a way that other approaches cannot be. It is more of a philosophy than an implemented system (compare OOP), and so will be open to tremendous interpretation and cooption by know-nothings. I see myself listening to a presentation in PowerPoint: "...and by using best-of-breed technologies that are goal-centric and powered by extreme programming in which the paradigm shifts..."
