I've read several threads here regarding accessing VFP databases and free tables, but before I dive in here, I wanted to ask those using CR a couple of basic queastions regarding data access and distribution since there is a lack of info on CR and VFP from CR help.

You need a table or you can access a view via ODBC. However, I suggest running the query and then saving the data to a temporary Fox2x table. Then, you don't need ODBC.

CR ships with a file that lists what files you need for distribution.

I used it in a corporate environment and at runtime checked if CR was installed. If not, it was installed behind the scenes.
