Please understand I wasn't saying that standards are gods. Just making the point that the behavior was a standard. I try to keep to standards most of the time, but like you, violate them when there is a good reason (like client insistence).

Yes, the standard is both. The Alt key activates the menu, and the F10 key activates the menu. I've been puzzled why both are needed, and (just like you?), thought the F10 key definition was a silly, redundant waste of a useful key.
