Mark,
They have nothing to do with .DBF files or other. They're separate files. If you have it you could Restore it. If you're talking about accessing them from outside of FoxPro then yes you could edit them with lowlevel I/O (once upon a time it was a gateway for me to pass variables between Fox and nonFox exes). I don't think you're after it but if you're then let me know so I can send you some clues regarding its format.
