>I have an internal compay app developed in Vfp6.0 on a WinNT platform that runs like a charm. Running same app (both from .app and from soruce code) on combination of Win 95/98 stations at the office, it locks up regularly, most often, but not always, after (not during) printing. Locks up--as in no mouse control, no system clock, no access to task manager, no error message of any kind, no nada, just frozen screen. Three fingered salute doesn't work, requires reset or power down to restore. Heard somewhere that dcom95/98 is the fix, but installing that on all machines has had no effect. Have added memory, now 64MB, on P2/350, plenty of disk space. Can't find any reference in MS support stuff. Anybody have any good suggestions?

This may be a printer driver issue - are the systems in question using an HP-supplied printer driver? The HP drivers have been problematic at best; there is a workaround using _fpreset() that works in some cases; the moistr consistant fix is to use an older, MS-distributed driver for the printer (or for a compatible printer - I use the HP IIIsi driver with the 5si all the time with good results and minimal impact on access to printer services.)
