Here at Ashley we have been using VFP for a front end to the AS400 since Version 3.0(Remote Views work great). IBM's Client/Server connectivity software to the AS400 is called Client Access. It contains both an ODBC driver and an OLEDB Provider for the AS400. The Client Access web site is at: www.as400.ibm.com/clientaccess/capage.htm

You might want to check out WallData's Rumba software, also.
