no, i was not. i wrote the create sql view statement and was trying to use just the dbsetprop() calls from the gendbc results.

i tried creating the view through the view designer and then running gendbc and using that code and now it works. i'm not really sure what the difference is...but using the view designer is fine. thanks for your help on this.
