I have been told that the MSDE can support at most, 10-12 simultaneous connections. That said, I think the VFP engine is a bit more robust. There are many reasons to move to SQL-Server. There are many reasons not to move to SQL-Server. MSDE provides a path for those who will migrate apps to SQL-Server. However, for those that don't need the full version of SQL, MSDE provides some valuable SQL services in a more compact form.

SQL has it's role and VFP has it's role....
