What version of SQL Server ODBC driver are you using? I remember having a problem updating text fields that was related to a particular driver version.

The only problem I have ever had is updating a memo field on SQL Server views. That was fixed by creating the remote view directly agains the table.

I also created my largest varchar field of 254, because 255 created a memo field in VFP which wasn't as easy to browse (and what difference will 1 character make?)

Otherwise, updates etc have always been smooth and trouble free. At any rate, the problem should be findable and solveable!
