Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I'm starting to think along the lines of combos being the culprit too. Mine are populated with cursors (created by another method, not the SQL in the Record-type) and at various times during the processing of the form (tabbed w/ 8 pages) the cursors are re-created, so they are momentarily gone and I think the cbo disagrees with that. I don't know if that's it, but that's what I'm going to be looking at next chance I get.
