I still don't think you quite followed my problem.<s> I need to adjust the line height of the stretchable object. When it goes to 2 or more lines, there's just too much white space between the lines and Fox won't let me adjust the object height like you can with a screen object.

Well, if it is the first or last field in the band you could create a grouping that groups on the same thing the detail band groups on, and put your stretchable field in that band. Then you can even have the luxury of using "Remove band if blank."
