I've been using Crystal Reports for a while now and I find it to be a good fit with VFP. It is external but it does have the benifit of all reports being web enabled, etc... There is the added benifit of Crystal's compatibility with other platforms like Oracle and Lotus Notes so to build a report that spans multiple data sources is very easy. Also the Crystal built-in's like the map wizard can produce point and click maps that drill down to the data very easily. Our users LOVE drill down charts and maps.

I haven't tried VFP report writers like Foxfire though so mine is a one sided argument :)
