I assume you mean preprinted to mean the invoice is preprinted with boxes for billing/shipping addresses; lines separating Quantity, description, totals, etc. If this is the case, designing the detail for printing in the "right" place is by trial and error.

Many of my applications reports are in the form of preprinted billing cards, invoices, and monthly statements and I haven't found an 'easy' way other than design/print, design/print, etc. till I get it right.

Of course, I have a copy of the preprinted form to use as a template.
